The 2004 Philippine General Elections

Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.usThese were the results of the Presidential elections held in the Republic of the Philippines on 10 May 2004. The incumbent president, Gloria Macapagal Arroyo defeated four candidates. Her nearest rival, Fernando Poe Jr., a prominent movie actor, fell short of just a million votes according to the official Congressional canvass. The other presidential candidates were Senator Panfilo Lacson, former Senator and Education Secretary Raul Roco and Bro. Eddie Villanueva of the Jesus Is Lord evangelical movement.
