Final UAAP Season 72 elimination round standings

Throw those tiebreaks out of the window, at least for the Final Four teams since you won't need them; as for the bottom four teams, the tiebreaking quirk eliminates La Salle from post-tournament action (they don't usually participate anyway, unless tickets to Belgrade are involved.) and instead brings Adamson to a deserving #5 spot.

Team (Rank)WLPCTGBTie
Ateneo (1)131.929--
FEU (2)113.7862
UE (3)104.7143
UST (4)68.4297
Adamson (5)59.3578+5
La Salle (6)59.3578−5
NU (7)311.21410+4
UP (8)311.21410−4

Tiebreaking procedure:
Teams are tied by basis of the point differential on the results of the games between the tied teams.

The Adamson–La Salle tie was resolved with Adamson with a +5 point differential. La Salle beat Adamson 64–63 in overtime in the first round, but Adamson beat them with a bigger margin, 61–55, in the second round.

The NU–UP tie was resolved with NU with a +8 point differential. NU beat Adamson 74–64 in the first round, but UP beat them with a lesser margin, 78–76, in the second round.

Interestingly, this is the first time in UAAP men's basketball that a team qualified to the Final Four with a losing record.
